It's efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in one go. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to clean dirt hair, pet hair, and droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The rotating mop spins at a high velocity and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into tight corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to install, and it works well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum for mopping, you will need to be aware of this.

The X1 Omni is most notable for its enormous dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin and the 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base comes with a few control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to toggle the child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like a power cord draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you free it. This was a rare occurrence however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its app.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This can cause mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a major departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome sight in a space which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
