The hood is easily lowered to the baby's foot for sun protection, or to enjoy the comfort of a cosy snooze.

Another excellent feature is the reversible seat unit, which allows you to alter the direction that your child's face is. The reclining seat gives support for the back and head which means your child can take a peaceful nap in their seat or carrycot. Claire loved the large shopping basket that can be accessed from the seat or carrycot unit in any position and can hold a whole packet of nappies and a change bag!

The XploryX premium pram is available from Stokke. It is suitable for babies up to birth. It includes the chassis, a pushchair seat and a lie-flat carrycot but other accessories like the rain cover will need to be purchased separately. It's an excellent choice for those who love the look of a modern Scandinavian-designed pram with a unique and functional frame that lets you interact closely with your baby.

Its realistic features include a removable rain hood as well as a handy under-seat shopping basket, and a co-ordinated changing bag. The only issue is the price - although it's less expensive than other 2 in 1 prams it still costs over PS1,000 for the complete kit. This is especially difficult to accept when you have alternatives such as Thule Spring. Thule Spring, which is smaller and lighter and costs less than half as much.

Thule's strollers are renowned for their strength and durability. I've seen them put through the testing rig at the Thule Hillerstop headquarters in Sweden. To test the strength and quality of their prams, they drop them from heights and crash down slopes, then run on a bumpy path in the snow. They look great!
