World of Warcraft Upgrades and item level upgrade Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template that ends in % will gain 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons, and trinkets in order to provide an additional stat boost or effect when they're used. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must be at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's applied to (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with the smallest amount of upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level with normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by buying them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals each.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher tier version of an item upgrader mod will be dropped in the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear, even when they're not sure what can be improved upon the reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a significant chance that the item could be obsolete or even break when it fails; a failed upgrade will ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Certain upgrades also provide an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.

You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes more quickly.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs You will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that boosts a specific set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Utilizing the Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to improve the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is often referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires a different number of components and the cost of upgrading increase as the item gets upgraded.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrade the item. Once enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrades an item it is replaced with a new item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will become the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set of bonuses. This can be a downside, as the item can be more expensive even if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it's not something that should be repeated often, as it could waste lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). The item can be upgraded many times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is extremely useful in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of a non-upgraded version.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to boost the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense, while upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear which can be upgraded up to eight times. Every when you upgrade an item, it has an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you exceed the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will cause the item to revert to its original state, requiring the player to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that, should a weapon gain an increase in crit chance the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment Best item upgrader might have 5 upgrades, each costing 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have the lowest cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players will need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each equipment upgrade will require different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the cost listed above.
