Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower designs, builds and distributes a complete range of high-floor and low-floor all-electric heavy and medium-duty vehicles. This includes school buses, scooter green power (theflatearth.win explains) transit buses, cargo buses, buses for cargo, and shuttles.

EV Star is a highly customizable zero-emission vehicle. It's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America conforming. It provides a wide range of options, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery systems.

The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their most popular vehicle and it can be customized to meet a variety of applications. The design of the platform is based on a clear paper sheet, which allows for optimum placement of the battery and a lower center-of-gravity. This results in higher payload/range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was developed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries as well as catering applications. The class 4 refrigerated truck's one wall structure in the interior and higher insulation than traditional trucks enable seamless sanitation, improved temperature control, and a longer life. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior capacity for cargo and a world-class payload-to-range ratio for zero-emission goods and passenger transportation.

GreenPower partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems, which will allow fleets to transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able of wireless charging up to 75 kW.

We had the opportunity to test the EV9 for several hours on a local freeway, and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The EV9 is able to suppress road noise and wind while driving on the highway. It is smooth on bumps and ruts. The car's acceleration is surprisingly quick, and it features adjustable regenerative brakes that permit "one-pedal driving" simply by taking off the accelerator.

The EV9 has a wide range and can be charged in three hours or less at home, or using any commercial charger. Drivers have the option of choosing between two modes of operation that include eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode is a great way to increase torque, cruise control and handling, while sport mode increases speed. Both modes are fun to drive and offer an experience unlike any other for those who've never been in a vehicle with an electrical system before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other e-vehicle offerings including a multi-purpose electric mini bus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be used as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or transit bus, vanpool or paratransit vehicle.

greenpower mobility is already producing about 10 EV Star buses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is working to replace their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration aiming to electrify school buses nationwide, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet demand. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be tested by Altoona and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant and ADA conforming. This makes them eligible for federal transit grants.
