GreenPower Motor green mobility scooter Company manufactures a complete range of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles, including lower-floor and high-floor models. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which can be used to accommodate various bodies and upfits for a variety of applications. The platform's design is based on a clear paper that allows for optimum placement of the battery and a lower center of gravity. This leads to better payload/range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was developed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The refrigerated truck's class 4 design's one wall structure inside and higher insulation compared to traditional trucks allow for seamless sanitation, improved temperature control and a more extended life. The EV Star REEFERX provides superior cargo capacity and a top payload to range ratio that is ideal for zero emission passenger transport and goods.

GreenPower has joined forces with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system. This will allow fleets to easily move to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star can also be wirelessly charging up to 75 kW.

We had the chance to test the EV9 for several hours on a local highway and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth on bumps and ruts, and the EV9 is a master of reducing wind and road noise on the highway. The acceleration of the vehicle is astonishingly quick, and it has adjustable regenerative brakes that allow "one-pedal driving" simply by lifting off the accelerator.

The EV9 has a great range and can be fully charged in about three hours at home, or using any commercial charger. Drivers can select between two modes of operation including eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode prioritizes torque, cruise control and handling while sport mode focuses on speed. Both modes are enjoyable to drive and offer an unforgettable experience for those who've never experienced driving an electric vehicle before.

GreenPower offers several other eVehicles which include a multi-purpose electric minibus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be utilized as an executive shuttle, micro-transit, transit bus, vanpool, or paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower produces around 10 EV Star buses per month for Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 electric cars.
