The Joie Roomie Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib travel cot crib that allows parents to co-sleep with their newborn whilst making sure that they're asleep safely. Its smooth gliding motion is able to soothe your baby to sleep, and its ingenuous features ensure that you can monitor them without having to leave your own bed.

The cot's side panel sliding raises and lowers at the press of an button, making it easy to reach in and soothe a baby in the night. It has 11 height adjustments that can be adjusted to fit almost any mattress size and adjustable folding feet to ensure that it is at the correct level.

In terms of safety the cot is cushioned and fitted with mesh sides for better ventilation, while its mattress is made of high-density foam to provide extra protection. It can also be cleaned, so you can keep the cot clean. It is fitted with a mattress sheet that can be used for the crib.

The Roomie Glide, unlike some other bedside cosleeper cribs is compatible with all beds including divans. This is thanks to the straps and clips that connect it. It can also be used as a standalone crib even when it's not connected to the bed. It is packed with amazing features that were designed with baby and parent bonding in mind.

One thing to keep in mind is that although this crib is perfect for babies, it won't last long after your child is six months old, which means you'll have to purchase a bigger cot. But, in general Roanna found that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she particularly liked its sleek design.

The Roomie Glide is available to purchase at John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna thought was a reasonable cost for a cot that has these advanced features. She was pleased with the way it was positioned in her bedroom and thought the grey color would work in most modern homes. However, she did point out that it's not an ideal idea to rock a young baby, as it can create an unhealthy habit that can affect later sleep patterns.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to ensure an uninterrupted night's sleep. It features a drop-side rail that can be easily lifted to feed your child at night without disturbing them or causing them to get out of bed. This is ideal for breastfeeding mothers! It's also light, making it easy to move around the house during naps and when traveling.

We love that it's made of soft materials that have mesh sides that are breathable, which promote airflow and comfort. It comes in charcoal or oak and various melange fabrics that will blend with most decor styles. Anna discovered that it was sturdy and secure once attached to her bed. The legs slid into place and the zippers were secured to ensure safety. It took Anna around 10 minutes to put it together and did not require any tools. There are clear instructions as well as a video, and a customer service number should you have any problems.

As well as the usual features you'd expect from a bedside crib, like being able to connect to your bed using a stay-in-place connector system and six levels of height The CoZee comes with an additional incline option which can be used to alleviate reflux or congestion in infants. It can also be washed by a machine and is a must for all the dribbles and vomit that accompany a new baby!

The CoZee is an excellent choice to keep your child close during the first six months of learning to sleep independently. It can be used as a crib, changing station or toddler bed. It can be turned into a sofa bed with the addition of an extension pack. Although it can't magically make your baby sleep or feed them, it can rock the baby and take them to school.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive options. It does have many great features. It can be used either a side-sleeper, or a standalone crib, and is suitable for babies from birth to six months. It comes with a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel and is simple to use, even for one-handed operation. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor, with 11 different height levels and retractable feet for a secure fit under any bed.

Our testers were impressed by the ease of use offered by the side panel that can be moved up and downwards with just a single push of a button. This was especially helpful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach inside and pick their baby up without waking them.

It is possible to lower the side panel itself but this is not recommended since it increases the likelihood that your child will fall out of the cot. The patented safety locking system ensures that the side panel will remain in place when it is attached correctly to the mattress of the parent. This feature can be very beneficial for peace of mind if you are breastfeeding and need frequent feedings at night.

Telescopic legs enable the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed including divan bases or beds with drawers. It also has tilting functions for babies with reflux and a rocking mode to bring them back to sleep after eating. It's also extremely spacious and provides excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.

Our test subjects found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, however it comes with an extensive instruction manual. It's heavier than other side-sleepers but it's still very mobile and can be moved from room to room easily. It's small enough to be able to fit into a travel cot bedside bag when not in use which is a plus if you need to transport it. The only drawback our testers noticed was that the side panel didn't move as much as the other models, making it a little harder to observe your child from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

If you're in search of an ideal best bedside cots crib that can grow with your child, then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth a look. It's a co-sleeping crib that can be attached securely to your bed and can be turned into a stylish cot when your baby is old enough. It is ideal for feeding your baby at night and strengthening the bond you have with your new born.

The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, unlike some other cribs. The mesh side panels with dual-view and hypoallergenic, breathable airflow mattress increase airflow and keep your baby comfortable and cool. The gentle slope can help ease reflux and colic. The zipper-down side lets you to feed your baby, or even comfort them at night.

The kit for converting cots is also well designed, with clear instructions. It includes everything you need. It took us around an hour to construct and was fairly straightforward. The only issue was the absence of captions written on a few of the images, which made it difficult to understand some of the steps. However, it was an easy process and the quality of the materials used was high.

The Shnuggle Air is a great choice for mothers who are breastfeeding or have had a c-section. It lets them reach out and touch their baby for comfort and feeding without having to leave their bed. It's also great for mothers who prefer not to go through the hassle of getting into and out of a traditional cot, or placing their child down for a nap.

During our testing, we found the gliding motion of the next-to-me crib to be particularly beneficial in helping babies fall asleep after feedings at midday and in the evening. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a big selling point for our exhausted test moms. The Joie Roomie Glide is a sleek and functional crib that doesn't rock nor has extra features like an audio system.
