The cot's side panel sliding lifts and lowers with the touch of a button, making it simple to reach inside and soothe a baby at night. It has 11 height adjustments to accommodate almost any mattress size. It also has adjustable folding feet that ensure it is at the correct level.

In terms of safety the cot is cushioned and comes with mesh sides for increased ventilation, while its mattress is made of high-density foam for extra protection. It can also be cleaned and you can keep the crib clean. It is fitted with a bed sheet that is suitable for the crib.

Unlike some other bedside cot bed cribs like the Roomie Glide is suitable for most beds, including divans, thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can be used as a stand-alone crib if it isn't connected to the bed. It is packed with incredible features that were that were designed with baby and parent bonding in mind.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside baby bed crib designed with a safe night's sleep in mind. It features a drop-side rail that can be easily lifted to feed your child during the night without disturbing them or causing them to get out of bed. This is great for breastfeeding mothers! It's also light and easy to move around during nap time or when traveling.

It's made from soft materials and has mesh sides that breathe to increase airflow. It comes in charcoal or oak and a range of melange fabrics that blend with a variety of styles. Anna found it sturdy and secure when affixed to her bed with the legs securely clicking into the bed and the zips secured for baby-safety. It took Anna approximately 10 minutes to put it together and did not require any tools. There are clear instructions, a video and a customer service number should you experience any issues.

The CoZee crib is equipped with all the features you'd think of in a crib for your bedside, including the ability to attach it to your existing bed using a stay-in place connection system. It also has six height settings. Additionally, there is an incline feature that can be used to assist babies suffering from reflux or congestion. It can also be washed by a machine essential for all the spills and vomit that come with a newborn baby!

The CoZee is a great option for keeping your child close during the first six months of learning to fall asleep independently. It can be used as a cot, changing station and toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa bed extension pack, it can be transformed into a bed. While it won't be able to magically make your baby sleep or feed them, it can rock them and send them off.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco’s more expensive alternatives. However, it comes with many amazing features. It's designed as a side sleeper or standalone crib and is suitable for babies up to six months. It comes with a new mechanism to open and close the side panel, and is easy to operate, even for one-handed operation. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor with 11 different height levels and retractable feet for a secure fit under any bed.

Our testers loved the ease of use offered by the side panel which can be moved upwards and down with a single push of a switch. This was an enormous help during night time feeds as it meant that they could easily reach in and take their baby away without disturbing them.

The side panel can be lowered by itself, too however, it's not advised as it increases the risk of your baby falling out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism ensures that it will only remain in place if it is connected to the bed properly. This is an excellent feature to have for peace mind, especially if you're breastfeeding and require frequent nighttime feedings.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers due to the legs that can be telescopic. It also has tilting functions to help babies who are refluxy and a rocking mode to soothe them back to sleep after feeding. It's also extremely spacious and has excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.

The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our test subjects, despite the lengthy instruction manual. It's heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, however it's very portable and can be moved from room to room easily. It's small enough to be able to fit in a travel bag when not in use, which is an advantage in the event that you have to transport it. The only negative our test subjects found was that the side panel did not stretch as much as other models. This made it a little harder to see your baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

If you're looking for a crib for your bed that will expand with your child then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth a look. It's designed to be a sleep-co-sleeping bassinet that is attached to your bed, but can also convert into a chic cot when your baby is ready, it's ideal for feeding your baby at night and for strengthening your bond with your infant.

Contrary to other cribs for bed, the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. Its dual-view mesh sides and airflow mattress that is breathable and hypoallergenic maximize airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope helps alleviate colic and reflux. The zip-down side lets you to feed your baby bedside sleeper, or even comfort them at night.

The kit for conversion to cot (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you need to start. It took us around an hour to put together and was fairly simple to put together. The only downside to the instructions was that certain images were not captioned. This made it difficult for us to follow. Overall, the process was simple and the materials used were of high quality.

The Shnuggle Air is a great choice for women who are breastfeeding or have had a c-section. It lets them reach out and hold their baby for comfort and feeding without leaving their bed.
