Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it can be difficult to know whether they're working until you actually see them in action.

It is also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a place where most robot vacuums of lower quality fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is superb too, with very little misses in corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled using the buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. With the app you can begin and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.

This means it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's also not able to climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a dock to create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.

While it doesn't offer as much in the way of cleaning-related options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comprehensive mop and robot vacuum that's worth the higher price tag.

But if you want to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robotic, there are plenty of other great choices available, including a lot of eufy models priced significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive, but offers more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, with the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on bare floors carpets with low pile as well as high-pile carpets.

eufy is an Anker company that has a history of producing robot vacuums with the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app takes you through the steps needed to connect it to Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be located close to an outlet that has enough space to move.

The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it can fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is a little less flashy than some of the rival models, with a sleek black finish and three physical buttons such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs a space in an arc for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

The way the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its competitors. It uses an integrated map to make a picture of the immovable items that are in its path. The elegant G30 isn't without faults however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged more quickly and has the same battery life while offering better performance on floors with no carpet and low-pile carpet. It has a larger dust bin, which doesn't require as much emptying. It also comes with boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
