Both robots are adept at removing surface dirt on hard floors and carpets, and they can easily move around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates a smart robot vacuums maps of your home that aid the i3+ in its navigation and clean up efficiently. The i3+ doesn't feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or any other top rated robot vacuum-rated robots we test. It may be stuck on power cords and socks and have difficulty navigating between surfaces, such as carpet and hardwood.

iRobot recommends you clear out areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, including clearing out any clutter or toys it might encounter. You should also keep the filters and dust bin clean to prevent them from becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station, and it automatically emptys the dirt into the docking station's dust bin. It then continues cleaning where it left off. The i3+ EVO's battery can last for about an hour and a half continuous use, and takes around three hours to fully recharge.

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model in iRobot's flagship line, and it is equipped with the most recent features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. But the most significant feature is the self-emptying bin. This removes the need for routine maintenance.

The Roomba I7+ is able to map rooms more efficiently with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and it can control your robot via the app or via voice.

The i7+ is quicker and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is the self-emptying bin that removes major maintenance sources and reduces recurring cost.

We were also awestruck by the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot on how to start or stop cleaning sessions and also to move around the room and even vacuum a specific area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. After being connected, to voice commands to the i7+, such as "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options for managing the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

In a world of vacuums that are cordless and are like minivans and buses, this tiny Dyson model feels like a sports car. It's powerful enough to replace a traditional stand-up vacuum in most homes, but also small enough to fit on a bookcase or coffee table.

The V10 is powered by a seven-cell, high-energy lithium-ion battery that can provide fade-free power for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filtering system traps allergens, then releases fresh air into your home. The specialized head uses rigid nylon bristles to penetrate into carpets and pick up large particles or fine dust. It has three different suction modes that can be adapted to the specific task. It swiftly switches from handheld vacuum to floor vacuum, and then back to floor.

This model also has an accessory dock that can charge to 100% in around 3.5 hours, and gives users an easy access to two attachments as well as an wand clip. This is a huge improvement over older Dysons models, that require a long charge and are a pain to store.

It also has a larger dustbin and charges faster.

The eufy RoboVac X8 has a superior battery life than the Roomba. It also has physical boundaries strips and can be controlled using your smartphone's voice assistant. It also feels better-built and has a stronger motor, and works better on floors that are bare and low-pile carpet, while providing a wider array of automation features.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

In our tests of the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and handled dog hair (on carpet) quite well, cleaning up 86% of it. It didn't do very well in avoiding taller items such as cords or socks. This was disappointing. It's also a little more expensive than the other models we've tested which could be a deterrent for some buyers.
