If you're on a tight budget and don't want a stroller that doubles as car seat carriers, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It comes with a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's easy to push and it is solid when traversing kerbs and woodland trails. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the most lightweight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, thanks to its extremely nimble handling and foldable design that can be tucked away in the overhead luggage of aeroplanes. This latest version boasts independent suspension on all four wheels that is made of Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate all types of surface and terrain'.

The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 frame and 6months of colour pack come together to create a stylish pushchair with a subtle, elegant aesthetic. The frame itself weighs just under a kilo and is so light that you can easily lift it out of the box (and do it using one hand).

The hood, for instance snaps onto the YOYO2 in a calm way. It is also machine washable at 30deg which helps prevent stains caused by smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as a pram. It could also be converted to a stroller by 6 months with the YOYO connect to additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents who want a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. The Evenflo Pivot Xplore can be transformed from a stroller into an actual wagon by flipping the handle. Parents can then decide which mode is best for their adventure. The wagon is able to accommodate two or more children between 6 months to five years old. It comes with a large storage basket that can accommodate everything you need while on the go.

The Xplore has two canopies that are able to rotate from front to back, ensuring adequate sun protection for the entire family. It has a smaller footwell than some wagons. This isn't suitable for long journeys or naps.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy but it doesn't bend as much as some other wagons we have tried. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the other models and does not secure when folded. It is easy to move however, and it can fit through doors that are narrower than 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents who are seeking a second stroller that's affordable. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and size folded, which means it's very light, compact when folded and easy to put into a car trunk or closet. It also features an adjustable recline seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions and a cup holder for the parent. Other key features include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels as well as two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

In our test of push and turn, it did better than the majority of other strollers of a similar price we test, but it's not the most maneuverable on uneven ground or through doorways that are narrow. The sunshades are among the most compact we tested, with only direct overhead coverage, and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a more extensive canopy.

The Delta took us just over 3 minutes to put together with an average manual, and none of the components required tools. It is missing some features that we consider essential for a double stroller. They include a large basket, reclining seats, and adjustable leg rests.

It's a breeze to maneuver, and the one-hand recline of the seat and the super large shopping basket make it easy for parents to get their child in and out of the seat quickly. This compact pushchair can handle every day bumps and doors with ease.

The front wheels can be locked in a forward position or allow them to rotate which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. While walking along the stony path we let them swivel and it did this quite well, though it did appear a little bumpier than others on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain jogging strollers. However, they also manufacture a vast selection of pushchairs with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is easy to use and folds up small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It is heavier than the other strollers we test, but since it comes with rubber composite wheels it feels solid and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver across various terrains and even with two kids, a shopping bag and other items.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that can be removed to reveal the UV50and sun canopy extension. They are water-resistant and durable, unlike some other pram hoods that get whipped back into toddlers' faces.

It's not the biggest of storage space, but it does have a large basket that's deep enough for a changing bag and plenty of food items. It can also be used with a Baby Jogger car seat for infants up 20 lbs (car seat and adapters are available separately). The City Tour 2 is a excellent choice if you wish to take a stroller with you on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was an infant stroller that captivated the hearts of a large number of parents when it first came out. It's a stroller single made of aluminum that can be used from infant's earliest days through. It's got a few stand-out features including the possibility of flipping the seat between parent and the world, a large UPF 50+ canopy that has a flip out eyeshade and a spacious basket as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are durable and filled with foam which minimizes punctures. The chassis also has built-in suspension that takes the sting out of bumpy terrain. Our test driver found it easy to push and was able to maneuver it through narrow streets without difficulty.

It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It can also be folded and repositioned for easy transport down the stairs or in the boot of the car. It also comes ready with the option to add a car seat and a carrycot with the adaptors included. The brakes are simple to use, using a single stroller near me color coded and flip-flop friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single pushchair is surprisingly easy to maneuver and has an excellent dual suspension system, one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It's also very light and robust. The seat is reclined in several positions. It comes with a built-in double breathable mattress that's suitable from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two large sun visors, which can be fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't perfect because it's not as quiet as Velcro and could wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a side-byside stroller and can be set up to accommodate twins or siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It can be used with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can face each other or can rotate around to face their parents, potentially decreasing sibling disputes over who should sit with dad and mom. It comes with a huge tray for gears with a bottle holder as well as snack tray. It also has a compact stand fold, and an automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger designed for parents who like to stay active. It is easy to fold and assemble in just 5-10 minutes with no tools. The user manual is easy to read and is available in multiple languages.
