WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item upgrader kit by +3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless the item level upgrade (click through the following document) has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up to date.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level, however they'll always be cheaper than buying new gear. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which will show a preview of the item when it is upgraded in the event that the player has enough materials.

Crests

Another significant change is that crests have one purpose, so it's important to use them wisely. It is best to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear you can locate, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for items like rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The discount on the account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
