The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list making it easier to navigate through tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through cleaning.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one pass. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to clean dirt as well as pet hair and droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the double side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as good. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is useful in tight corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger objects such as books and toys that have been damaged.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't produce as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is easy to set up and performs well. However when you purchase this robot mop vacuum solely for mopping purposes, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it a great option for homeowners looking for an extremely efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device has an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the house and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and methodically. This ensures an even and thorough clean and is also quick.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching an array of surface areas. They can reach corners, baseboards, and other hard-to-reach areas. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor near to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the odors.

Another feature worth mentioning is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo allows you to alter the intensity of its suction and choose between a back-andforth or more random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also choose to disable the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.

This device has a fairly expensive price, but comes with a large selection of innovative features. It's crucial to remember that it carries recurring costs in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and mop pads must be replaced every one to three month.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair of pets. It was able to collect the majority of hair our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannys of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was fairly quiet and had some lovely jingles to let you know when it was starting or finished its work.

Its main drawbacks were its simplistic app and the requirement to change out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app is not able to store multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want a smart robot that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it does have distinct features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock that doubles as a charging base and the housing for two water tanks, a cleaning sink and an automatic vacuum cleaner and mop 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base comes with a couple of buttons for control that let you manually begin a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock's automatic hoover emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to toggle the child lock, which is a nice option for parents concerned about children playing with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to identify obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in finding objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. This is a rare event however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its application.

Another issue that could be a problem is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two, which isn't a big deal aside from the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for a market dominated by clunky boxes.
