Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills or staining) in one time without having to swap out devices. They can also help save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bin, refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads from an appropriate dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has a lot to offer at a affordable price and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start guide can get you running in no time with an entire dust bag, water tank and hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The best automatic vacuum cleaner has four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.

For example, you can choose to have the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the kitchen and living rooms but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. The only issue it has is that it tends to hit objects and walls at a high speed, but just a glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing, where it's going, and which obstacles it's avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance jobs need to be done including emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent into the water tank by itself with a 600ml of eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. And you can see the entire cleaning information in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easily understood, though we would like to be able to distinguish between a vacuum and mop and vacuum clean when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum that mops vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. In contrast to the model of last year this one has a double agitator in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power which allows it to remove smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners could miss.

Like the two other Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they're a wall or another surface. It will then automatically alter its path and clean the objects without a pause.

It's the most expensive model I've tried however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye-catching and it has just three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml tank of water. The water tank self-empties and the bin auto-refilling.

The only issue I have discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. It is possible to change the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to take the mount off for manual washing. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of intelligent features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor battery life and component maintenance. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with innovative features, superior suction power and cutting-edge mowing abilities. Its innovative design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry mess. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves floors sparkling clean, even with a wet pad. Additionally the X40 is quiet in it's operation, producing only occasional squeaks of sound when switching modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.

The X40 also has a side brush that can be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture with curved edges like chairs and table legs. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.

The app is easy to use and understand, and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and has numerous features that make it an excellent choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans mop pads and refills them with clean water and a cleaning robot mop and vacuum solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is full and alert you before it gets overflowing, reducing the need for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive models available, but it packs in numerous additional features that distinguish it from. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub that uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can clean pet hair and smaller dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.

Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is an excellent feature as it stops the growth of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.

There's a wealth of settings on offer which include the ability to schedule cleaning times and alter a variety of preferences. They can be set through the app or buttons that can be found on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and offers many options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are a lot of functions that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of relying on a manual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and elegant. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list however it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-constructed. Mopping is well designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
