World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will gain an additional 3% of the previous damage each time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue before the component can be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once and cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could be prefixed or a suffix changing the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require less Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by buying them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals per.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of an item will be available during the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear, even when they're not sure what will be improved after an update.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it's possible that the item will be obsolete or even break when the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs increase the effectiveness of all nodes in a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 whenever you can.

In the endgame you'll often discover that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs, you will need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Using the Glyph will boost all nodes connected to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for example should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item upgrader mod is assigned an amount that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each item level requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by making upgrade Item Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used for upgrading an item. When enough points have been earned you will be able to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same type. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a problem, as it can make the item more expensive if you don't require it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will come with the level 1 base, and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This can be useful, but should not be used frequently as it can be a waste of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled several times which increases their value and giving players the ability to alter their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives a buff if the player continuously enters or exits the water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely valuable in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of a non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also improve the strength of their base defense and weapon upgrades items increase their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear that can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to revert to its initial state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar on the bar for growth will be reset to zero. Additionally, the Best item upgrader will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as any other effects that are associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or reload speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied before any attack damage increases. Slots is a brand new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a standard equipment item might have 5 upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players will have to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of the upgrade ingredients in addition to the expenses listed above.
