Subjectively I discovered the GP500 to have very accurate grayscale OOTB. I measured an DeltaE of just 2.3 which is lower than what's visible to the human eye and quite satisfactory. The Dynamic Contrast feature was a great way to bring depth to the nighttime scenes in Life of Pi and the color on display was excellent as well. Avatar was also awe-inspiring.

GP500 Black

The GP500 is Pinlock Max Vision-ready and tear-off ready too with opening tabs on both sides of the shield. It comes with a shield locking system to prevent it from opening during riding (or an accident). The back of the helmet features a double-d-ring fastener that's free of tools.

The auto-focus function was fast and efficient and produced clear, crisp images with lots of distinct shades. It struggled with the dark scenes at night in Life of Pi but overall it created a cinematic feel.

There aren't any race rep graphics for the GP500 but you can buy Airoh Sectors and Cosmos with a black finish. You can also buy it with Rockstar, Drive and Check graphics to give it a more track-focused look.

Other noteworthy features include 3D playback, which can be controlled via the DLP-Link glasses built into the projector. It's wonderful to know that this projector is still able to support this feature, considering that some brands have dropped it recently.

The GP500 White has a number of features that can enhance the user experience, such as Keystone and Corner Fit. Corner Fit is an image warping function that can be used digitally. These can be useful for less-than-ideal installs as they allow you to display a flat image. However, they can degrade the image quality. It is crucial to keep in mind this. The GP500 produced very clear and distinct colors and was a fantastic grayscale performer OOTB.
