One thing to bear in mind is that while this crib is great for babies, it won't last long once your little one turns six months old, and you will need to invest in a bigger cot. However, overall Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she especially liked its elegant design.

John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a fair price for an item. She also liked how it appeared in the bedroom and thought that the grey color is a good fit for modern homes. She did point out that it's not a good idea to rock a baby in the early years because it could create an unfavourable sleep pattern for later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to ensure an uninterrupted night's sleep. It has a drop-side rail that is easily removed for feedings at night without having to wake your child or get them out of bed It's perfect for breastfeeding mothers! It's also light and easy to move around during naps or for travel.

It's made from soft materials and has breathable mesh sides to promote airflow. It's available in oak and charcoal and has a variety of melange fabric options that blend well with most decor styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure when affixed to her bed with the legs securely clicking into the bed and the zips secured to ensure safety for babies. It took Anna around 10 minutes to put together and did not require any tools. There are clear instructions along with a video and customer support number in case you experience any issues.

In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a crib that is bedside sleeper cot such as the ability to attach to your existing bed with a stay-in-place connection system and six levels of height, the CoZee has an additional incline option that can be used to help alleviate reflux or congestion in infants. It can also be washed in the machine essential for all the dribbles and vomit that can be found in a newborn baby!

The CoZee is an excellent choice to keep your child close during the first six months of learning to fall asleep independently. It can be used as a crib, changing station or toddler bed. It can even be converted into a sofa bed with the addition of an extension pack. Although it can't magically bring your baby to sleep or feed them, it can rock the baby and take them to school.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive alternatives. However, it has many great features. It's designed to be used as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable for babies up to six months. It has a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel and is simple to use even with one hand. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings and legs that retract to fit underneath any bed.

Our testers were impressed by the ease of use offered by the side panel, that can be moved up and downwards with just one click of a switch. This was a huge help during night time feeds because it meant they could easily reach inside and take their baby away without disturbing them up.

It is possible to lower the side panel by itself but this is not advised, as it increases the risk that your child will be thrown out of the cot bedside. The safety locking system ensures that the side panel will stay down if it is connected correctly to the mattress of the parent. This feature is fantastic to have peace of mind when you breastfeed and require frequent nighttime feeds.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers, thanks to the telescopic legs. It features a tilting feature to help reflux babies, and the ability to rock to ease them into sleep after eating. It's also incredibly spacious and offers great ventilation due to its mesh sides.

Our test subjects found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, although it does come with an extensive instruction manual. It is a little heavier than other side-sleepers but it's easily moved from one area to another. It's also small enough to fit into a travel bag when not in use, which is an advantage if you need to transport it. The only issue our testers found was that the side panel didn't move as much as the other models, which made it slightly harder to observe your child from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside sleeper cot crib is an excellent choice for an infant crib that will grow with your child. It's designed to be a sleep-co-sleeping bassinet that is attached to your bed and transform into a stylish cot once your baby is ready, it's ideal for feeding your baby at night and fostering a bond with your baby.

Unlike some other cribs for bed The Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. Its dual-view mesh sides as well as the airflow mattress, which is hypoallergenic and breathable maximize airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The drop-down side can be easily accessed to feed or calm babies in the middle of the night, which was a real draw for our exhausted test moms. The Joie Roomie Glide is a elegant and practical crib that doesn't rock nor has extra features like a sound machine.
