World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to increase an item level upgrade's gear score up to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded for their unique stats (like an ideally broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can boost their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. They also have an unchanging bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. In addition some weapons come with a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon is present on a single unit. This bonus could be greater than the damage a weapon upgrade can do on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon will require two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs more Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. While this is usually an excellent thing but it can also have negative effects as well. In the case of items that are only used in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance), upgrading them may render them useless unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.

Upgrades can be made to armor items to improve their effectiveness. For instance, if you have chests or helms, this will increase the defense of its base, while gloves and belts increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also has an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it can sometimes roll back to a lower number.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading along with the relative value of those stats. This means that a weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will be hit for 3 times less often because it's an absolute statistic.

A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button with arrows that circle in the item upgrader mod menu. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's levels or bind to account status.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make the world of difference to your survivability. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE boosts to poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, which can make traversing tough areas a breeze. In general, the greater defense you have on your character, the more health you'll get from each point. So, it's best to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game, and to unlock them all, you have to complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main side quest and completed the fountain that corresponds, you can then speak to any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels and the amount of materials and Rupees required to complete each will vary. It is possible to use anything from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. The Champion Leathers, for example can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which allows you to remain competitive in cold environments with a large number of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense, which means you're able to withstand a rout with friends.

You can't upgrade armor like weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior, you should focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical strength or the power of spells. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you'll wear to fight the final boss as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town and you will be able to unlock some perks on your armor. In general, you should save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to beat the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be useful to have a few upgrades to your chest armor and helmets to permit you to sneak past some monsters.

Potions

Potions are substances in bottles that, if consumed, give the player an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions that have different effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.

Potion upgrades require a certain amount of XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion as well as the item's rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI that lets you select the potions that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they will offer when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a time and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP count.

Once a poton is upgraded, it will not degrade unless you use it again or break the bottle within the container it is stored. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change its name.

Version 1.7.2 brought a few changes to the way potions are used. Splash potions, for example are now available with a time of zero, not the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display for the item. The table for potion is now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It is now able to be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. Similarly, using a potion on a full cauldron, it drains the contents and replenishes the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions, which are made using dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can also be added to potions that are lingering to increase their effect. The table of potions is arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as potion of leaping, decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket can be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a purpose, but is not particularly significant, such as a thimble. In some traditions, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, particularly between family members.

In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets like other items that can be upgraded can be exchanged at any time without losing stats.

The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available with gold, tokens or fragments of trinkets that are rare.

The upgrade of a trinket can be a cost-effective alternative to purchasing an entirely new one. It can be done by a player for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl as the old one, and will include an additional upgrade bonus of 1.

Once the old Trinkets are not usable they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value with time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.

In general, players should upgrade their most important items first. This usually refers to the most valuable-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondary items and finally, other pieces of gear that they won't replace soon (for example, a ring or cloak). When deciding on which items to upgrade, players must also be aware of the preferred statistics of their class. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tanks, they should be focusing on upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and chest.

After they've become unusable trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket comes with an additional 1percent bonus. A re-upgrade item, however, will destroy the trinket unless it can be salvaged using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades but still cheaper than buying an entirely new trinket.
