We love that it's made of soft fabrics with mesh sides that breathe, which aids in airflow and ease of use. It's available in oak and charcoal and comes with a variety of melange fabrics that are compatible with all decor styles. Anna found it to be solid and secure when it was attached to her bed, with the legs firmly snapping into the bed and the zips secured to ensure safety for babies. It took Anna approximately 10 minutes to put it together and did not require any tools. There are clear instructions along with a video and customer service number should you encounter any issues.

In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a bedside crib, like being able to connect to your existing bed using a stay-in-place connector system and six levels of height, the CoZee has an additional incline option which can be used to ease reflux or congestion in babies. It's also machine-washable, which is a must with all the dribble, vomit and snot that come with having a new baby!

The CoZee is an excellent choice for keeping your child in the first six months of acquiring the ability to sleep independently. It can be used as a crib, changing station or toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa bed extension pack, it could transform into an bed. While it won't magically make your baby sleep or feed them, it will rock the baby and take them to school.

This is one of the more expensive alternatives. However, it comes with many great features. It can be used as either a side-sleeper, or a standalone crib that is suitable for infants ranging from birth to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel with a brand new mechanism. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor, having 11 different height levels and feet that retract to fit under any bed.

Our testers were impressed with the simple access the side panel provides, which can be flipped up and down at the touch of one button. This was particularly useful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach inside and pick up their baby without disturbing them up.

It is possible to lower the side panel by itself, but this isn't recommended, since it increases the likelihood that your baby will get out of the cot. However, the safety locking mechanism means that it can only stay down when attached to the parent's bed correctly. This feature can be very beneficial for peace of mind if you're breastfeeding and require frequent night feeds.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed that includes divan bases as well as beds with drawers due to the telescopic legs. The only negative our testers have found is that the side panel did not stretch as much as other models. This made it a bit harder to observe your baby from the bed.

Designed to be a co-sleeping bassinet that can be attached securely to your bed but also transform into a stylish cot once your baby is ready. It's ideal for feeding your baby at night and for strengthening your bond with your baby.

The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, which is different from other cribs. Its dual-view mesh sides and breathable, hypo-allergenic airflow mattress maximize airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope helps alleviate colic and reflux.
