World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades provide players with the ability to upgrade equipment that they already have. This can be done at any item upgrader NPC.

Upgrades boost the stats of an item, and can also add extras depending on its type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs and Goldwrap for build casters.

Armour

Armour is one of the main factors that keep Link safe from harm in most situations. While it isn't able to be upgraded like weapons, you can still enhance its defense capabilities in different ways.

Armour is designed to protect animals or people from injury or harm from direct physical attack or a range of hazards posed by the environment or activities. Historically, armour was mostly constructed from leather or fabric but later, protections made of metal were also used for military purposes, particularly like heavy cavalry or combat drones.

There are a variety of ways to upgrade armour however the majority require you to visit one of four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a unique level of upgrades, with more granting greater levels of protection and needing a higher amount of rupees and other materials to unlock.

The first thing you need to know about Armor Upgrades is they are permanent upgrades which means that after they've been put in place, they can't be replaced unless there is another piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. It is crucial to only apply the highest level of upgrades to your gear and ensure that you have the necessary materials to complete them.

In terms of acquiring the necessary upgrade components, you'll find them all over Hyrule including shrines, shops, and even enemies. These are usually marked by the blue triangle or gold circle symbol. They are available in large quantities as you progress through. While they may appear randomly, there's a chance that acquiring certain upgrade components will result in quests that reward you with more.

It's important to keep in mind that, although the level provided by each upgrade may vary, it will always be greater than zero. This is because a complete set of upgraded armour will give you a significant defense boost that will protect you from all forms of attacks, excluding magic, making it a powerful weapon for any class.

Weapons

If you want to make your guns unique, you can upgrade them with a variety upgrades. These upgrades can boost damage or change the stats of the weapon to match your particular build. They can also unlock new attachments like unique enchantments, various types of ammunition, as well as aesthetic options.

You'll need both the upgrade component and the weapon itself to upgrade items it. The weapon should also be at or above a certain point for the upgrade to take effect and the majority of weapons can only accept one upgrade at one time.

Weapon upgrade components can be found scattered throughout the world, from enemies or from merchants. Two NPCs can upgrade your weapon: the Blacksmith Hewg, located in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji, in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.

Prioritize upgrading your most-used slot items first. Then upgrade the ones you aren't likely to replace anytime soon. If you're planning to play an asymmetrical build, for instance upgrade your weapon, then your shoulders and chest followed by your feet and hands. The same principle goes for Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that certain items may be better than others, based on your style of play. The same is true for Armour Reforges, with certain types being better than others.

Magic Items

A character can only upgrade one item of magic. If an upgrade project is cancelled, no more upgrades will be planned for that item. Magic items that are upgraded cost twice the amount of gold they normally cost to create or buy however, they also offer additional benefits.

A magical item level upgrade is an item upgrader mod that has special properties or effects. The majority of these items are weapons, however some are also armor, shields as well as cloaks, potions rings, scrolls, and other items. Certain of these items can be made sentient.

Most magic items can have their abilities enhanced. This could make them more beneficial to players or help them to overcome a difficult situation. Infused weapons can offer bonuses to damage against a particular type of enemy, for instance. A magical item could grant them invisibility or make them invisible to everyone except the chosen person.

Utility Items

Utility items are anything that doesn't fall under the categories of Clothing or Armor and are able to perform a variety of capabilities. Utility items are not compatible with each other, unlike Armor or Weapons. Most utility items have a passive effect that players can activate while using them. However, some of them have additional abilities that are activated by pressing a button or activating an ability.

Generally speaking, the most popular type of utility item is the Flashlight, which illuminates the surrounding area. Other items of utility include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow players to fly in the air while moving and the Jetpack that allows the player to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. In the Engineering section you can quickly create a variety of useful items, while others are only available through Research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.

In addition to the items that are available in the standard inventory, players can unlock some more useful items of utility by buying them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Certain of these items are upgradeable to increase their effectiveness.

Most utility items enhance an individual combat ability or give the player some sort of advantage in navigation. For instance, Sharpening stones made by the Weaponsmith increase Power and Ferocity, while Maintenance Oils crafted by the Huntsman boost the concentration and healing power. Other items of utility can be utilized by players to increase Damage or Condition Damage.

All XCOM soldiers can equip a utilitarian item at the start of the campaign. During the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots are available by equipping the Grenade Launcher. This permits players to use the Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the main slot.
