The sprung lever design allows the handle to be placed and angled for comfortable operation and is suitable for all users. The handle has been tested for endurance up to 200,000 cycles, which will ensure the quality of the finish and the performance of the handle over time. The sprung lever is adjustable to fit a wide range of locks. This is particularly beneficial for narrower door frames in which the cylinder is further back. A lever that is shorter can be used on doors that have a latch that can be activated with the thumb inside.

Lever Pad

The lever pad upvc handle is different from the lever handles that are used on the majority of doors. The handle can operate from a single spindle (inline) or independently from each side using two inline or offset spindles (pad). They are typically used on UPVC double glazed doors. They come in a variety of styles and finishes.

The handles have been tested to a minimum of 200,000 cycles and are available in various finishes like White Silver, Chrome, & Gold. The finish is BS EN 1670 Grade 5 and is resistant to rust. This gives the handle the best performance and durability to serve its intended purpose.

All UPVC handle lever pads come with a spindle, screws, and can be fitted on a uPVC door. The backplate fixing centers of 211mm allow for a wider size of handle which can often be a benefit when replacing a faulty or worn multi point door lock mechanism. The levers for these handles have a spring, which solves the problem of door handles that sag out of the horizontal position when not being used.

It is important to match up the dimensions of the PZ for both the multipoint lock as well as the uPVC doors when choosing the replacement UPVC spindle and handle. This measurement is also referred to as the "handle centre" or "cylinder centres and is an essential aspect of matching up the correct handles.

When you have the right PZ size, you'll need to ensure that the lever pads and push pads are in a suitable shape for the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compatible handles you need for your doors. They typically have a square or round shape with an internal lever and an external push pad.

Euro Cylinder

Cylinder locks are commonly used on uPVC doors, but can also be found on other types of door. They operate by using a key to unlock a cylinder case which will reveal pins that can be aligned to those in the lock body and allowing them to turn the cam, thereby opening the door. Euro Cylinders are available with up to six pins. Doors that are internal and external require different levels of security.

Selecting the right cylinder for your needs is essential; it is dependent on the way your door and handle are used. For instance, doors that are external must be secured with an extra secure cylinder, while doors inside can be secured with an ordinary cylinder. In addition, some cylinders have extra features that increase security further, such as anti-drill or anti-bump features.

A euro cylinder must be measured correctly to ensure it's the correct size for your door. The cylinder should be measured from the central fixing screw hole to each end of the cylinder, including the thumb turn if you have one. If you cannot measure using the lock in a fixed position, you can remove it. A cylinder that extends beyond the handle and escutcheon might be vulnerable to attacks, such as snapping locks, so it is important to make sure it's not too long.

Most newer cylinders have been constructed with anti-drill and bump resistance features included in their design. They are designed to minimize attack chances by forcing the cylinders to turn in a different direction. This helps stop the attack and ensure your doors are secure.

Certain cylinders are made to resist snapping. This is a more frequent type of attack on cylinders, where the break line inside the lock is targeted using a special tool to break off the front of the cylinder to allow the patio door handle locks to be opened. This is much quicker and more straightforward than gaining access through a multipoint lock and leaves no evidence of a burglary, which can hinder an insurance claim.

Spring Cassette

This spring cassette is found within the base plate of your door handle. It is a spring-loaded solution to bring your multipoint lock handles back to their resting position after use. The handles were previously equipped with no spring and would drop when the locking mechanism was disconnected. The addition of this simple element is among the best ways to correct this, and is an excellent way to stop your doors made of upvc from becoming stuck in an open or closed position, as these aren't always easy to close manually.

These spring cassettes were designed to be used with a sprung multipoint lock. They will not fit handles that are not sprung and you'll have to cut a hole in the backplate to allow them to fit.
