It's smaller than other models on this list making it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.

It is very quick and does a great job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways with only one sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa is quick at picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out a bit more than other robots, which is useful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger objects like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've used. It doesn't make the same amount of noise while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to install and performs well, but this is something that you'll have to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a range of features.

The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the home and find furniture and other obstacles. The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it has some unique features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock that doubles as a charging base and the housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a cleaning sink as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base also has a variety of control buttons that allow you to start cleaning or recall the robot vacuums That Mop or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it is entangled in a hazard, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't function until you manually untangle it. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its application.

Another issue that could be a problem is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during the cleaning process. You will need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't a big deal aside from the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxy models.
