WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade items boosts the item upgrades level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of weapon or armor. However, the item used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities and can be visited anytime to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each several weeks.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current level of the gear being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For example, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from a different player will cost 105.

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from item upgraders NPCs for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool using the help of button, which will display an item's preview at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the item slot and the current level of the item, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used.
