Upgrades to items give players the ability to upgrade equipment that they already own. This can be accomplished by any upgrader of items NPC.

You can find the upgrade components you require in a variety of locations throughout Hyrule. These include merchants, shrines and even enemies. They are typically marked with the blue triangle or gold circle symbol and can be found in great quantities as you progress. Magic Items

A character can only upgrade one magic item at a time. If an upgrade project is cancelled then any subsequent upgrades for that item upgrading will not begin. Magic items that are upgraded will cost twice the gold they would normally cost to make or purchase however they may have extra benefits.
