World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will be able to gain an additional 3% of the previous damage for every time it is upgraded.

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the item's current level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets in order to give them a stat boost or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them. The item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be used. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's applied to (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with less upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level with normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. We recommend upgrading them as fast as you can to level 15.

It is commonplace to see in the endgame that placing Glyphs is the Best item upgrade method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes more quickly.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

When the player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same kind. The same armor can be transformed into the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item upgrader kit also has its own set of bonuses. Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. In addition, the item upgrades will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or speed of reload).
