World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

For example, a weapon with the upgrade template ending in % will gain an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide an extra stat boost or impact while they're being used. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them. The item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level for a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrades an item upgrader mod it is replaced with a different item of the same type. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a drawback, as the item upgrade can increase in price even if you do not require it.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade.
