This robot vacuum-mop makes an excellent choice for those who live in apartments as it uses an economized docking system and has its own garbage bin. The application lets you set up different modes and monitor cleaning. The mopping function is also impressive.

Its mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance are impressive, as is the fact that it mops very well cleaning up pet hair, spillages and dirt. It also self-empties and self-cleans and replenishes its water tank.

iRobot Roomba Combo

The iRobot Combo is a robot that is able to vacuum and mop. The iRobot Combo doesn't quite replace our Editors' Choice winner, the Deebot X1 Omni. It scrubs more, and has an app for mobile devices that is more user-friendly, but it's a good alternative. In our tests it was able to pick up dirt of all sizes and types from carpets and hard floors. Its obstacle avoidance isn't as advanced as other systems like LiDAR and structured light, but it still is able to avoid most collisions.

The Combo features most of the same features as the j7 Plus and comes with new acoustic sensors onboard to determine the floor's type and AI-powered navigation. However, it does not have the ability to adjust suction power manually. It's also smaller than its vac-only counterpart, and it doesn't have an auto-empty dock.

The Combo is one of my top choices for most homes. Its sleek design is also one of the best robot vacuum and mop I've seen in the market. The clean matte black plastic appears better than most competitors' glossy or metallic finishes, and iRobot's small details--like a leather tab to open the bin onboard and a shelf inside the dock to store extra bags--are more elegant than the majority of its competitors'. Hobot Legee D8
