What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader adds a new widget to the top of the Angel and Cash Upgrade windows. This Manager costs 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no gameplay benefit other than making it easier to purchase upgrades.

Boosters

It's a convenient method to increase the quality of your equipment, which lets you skip the tedious grind and avoid a bunch wipes in Mythicand Dungeons.

When an item is upgraded its basic type will change. Upgrading a normal item will result in an item that is Exceptional while upgrading an item level upgrade that is Exceptional will result in an Elite version of the base item. The item will keep the same stats it had prior to upgrading, but will also gain an additional benefit from its new base type. The bonus will be randomly chosen from the following options: the chance to acquire weapons with a higher damage range, a chance to obtain an improved reload speed, or a chance to gain an improved defense roll.

The amount of extras gained with an upgrade depends on the amount of upgrades done. Each upgrade will increase the extras by a maximum of 3 points. Each upgrade will also boost the stats of the main game by +1.

Some upgrades also give you a secondary random boost in addition to stat increases. These boosts are extremely beneficial and should be considered when choosing which items to upgrade. Some of these boosts are beneficial in certain builds (such as Whistan's shield for FB sorcs) while others could provide significant value to certain collectors.

Some items have an inherent boos that are less useful when upgraded, such as the Goldwrap which gives extra potion slots. These are often upgraded to add more value to a nearly perfect item.

Costs

There are a few expenses associated with item upgrades. The most significant cost is the upgrade itself. The cost for this upgrade can be costly and is contingent on the new ilvl of the item level upgrade and the number of perks it gets. It can also be costly to upgrade an item to a higher tier (such as Explorer > Champion or Veteran > Heroic).

The other is the cost of the materials needed for an upgrade. These items are usually Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons or specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor Quests. These materials can be found in the inventory of an Upgrade Vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. Based on the magnitude of the upgrade, it could take as long as 8 hours. The base stats of the upgraded item are calculated based on the new ilvl and other characteristics. This calculation determines new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, as well as other important stats. In certain cases an upgrade may grant additional perks. These perks are offered on a list.

In rare instances the upgrade will replace only the highest-costing benefits. Occasionally, the upgrader will make other modifications to an item, such as changing the damage type of a weapon or removing or adding an unwieldy or operative property. The cost for these changes is determined by the new ilvl of the item, and may require a special substance, such as adamantine alloy.

Success Rate

The upgrading of an item is based on the chance. Like any random system there is a chance that it won't work. There are a number of ways to increase the chances of success. This includes using an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of additional materials to your upgrade.

The Upgrade Pity is available from the NPC for smithing in Lost Ark. It increases the odds of a successful upgrade by an amount. This is similar to the luck bonus that some items have however it is more reliable. It can be added to any weapon or armor and is able to be used up to three times.

It is also possible to add a range of additional materials to the upgrade, which increases its chance of success. These are shown in a window that is above the + button. There are a few limitations. The maximum amount of material you can add is displayed directly above the + button.

A Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it can be used to increase the chances of a successful upgrade. This item is useful when you own an item of gear that has reached the maximum level for its tier or is close to it. This item will allow you upgrade the equipment to the next tier without risking its breaking.

If an upgrade fails, the system will be restored to its original condition. This is usually a downgrade, but can also be an upgrade. You should save an upgrade until you're close to the maximum level of an item.

Kafra has a range of items that can be utilized in order to increase the likelihood of an upgrade being successful. For instance upgrading an equipment with HD Oridecon or HD Elunium repeatedly will give you more chance of success. The chance of success will be increased if you can increase your chances of receiving a Double Mint by Shoe-Minting five times.

Failure Rate

The upgrader for an item allows players to add an additional card slot to their equipment. These slots can be used to apply an enhancement or enchantment on an item. It is important to remember that not all items are upgradeable. The rank of an item determines the rate at which it can be upgraded and enchanted. The higher the rank, the more Zen and items you'll require to upgrade it.

This system can be very expensive, particularly for high-end gear. Upgrades to armor and weapons can cost as much as 100,000 z or 100 Carnium. The success rate also decreases as you go up in rank. You can increase the chance of upgrading an item by making use of cash shop items.

Normal Upgrade is the most basic upgrade that can be done on armor pieces, weapons and bikes. It uses different grades of core, depending on the type of item upgrader mod (click for more). Most commonly, lower grade items will require low grade cores while items with higher quality will require higher priced ones.
