Subjectively I found the GP500 to have very precise grayscale OOTB and measured a DeltaE of just 2.3 which is less than what's seen by the human eye, but quite good. The Dynamic Contrast feature was a great way to bring depth to the few night scenes in Life of Pi and the colors on display were excellent as well. Avatar looked very good too.

GP500 Black

The GP500 is Pinlock Max Vision-ready, and tear-off-ready as well as opening tabs on both sides of the shield. These features can be useful for less-than ideal installations as they make it easier to display a flat picture. However, they could degrade the image quality. This is an important consideration to be aware of. The GP500 produced very clean and distinct colors. It also had a great grayscale performance OOTB.
