WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in certain stats. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts the random substatus.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapons. However, the item that is used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in every major city, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new gear. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item upgrading from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which will display an item's preview at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item and current item level, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.

Upgraders for items can be found in many places, including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and the chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases when more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no item level upgrade upgrader available at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only accessible through a variety means. This is both a benefit and a drawback.

In Season 3, a number of new features have been added to the upgrade system. Crests

First, you should know that crests are only available for equipment that is of a certain rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade requires up to 20 crests, based on the type or gear being upgraded.

Players can obtain crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and performing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of all difficulty for items of higher tier or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons to obtain endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an item upgrading upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and routes.

The use of these currencies isn't too complicated however, the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This is to allow players to get their equipment up to the highest ilvl possible for all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests with care, since they have only one purpose. For instance it's best to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the best equipment you have and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you plan on making. This is particularly true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount on the account will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
