World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as PvE damage and crit chance.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will gain 3percent of its previous damage each time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets in order to give them a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before the component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the non-ascended back items. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can change the attack or defense attributes of the weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

The player is able to have up to five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will be available at the time of the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be expensive, and there is a significant possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break if it fails. A failed upgrade will destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.

You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use and also through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus which will boost a specific set of stat nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Utilizing the Glyph can boost all nodes connected to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. For instance that a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes but also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes too.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to increase the power of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level of item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or purchased from some NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When an individual player upgrade a piece of equipment, the base item will be replaced by the new item. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have a unique bonus. This can be a disadvantage because it can cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to do so. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have a level 1 base and a completely different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful however it should not be used frequently as it can be a waste of resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or is able to swim like dolphins). The item can be upgraded several times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is extremely important in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of a non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to boost the quality of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense, while upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal as well as the required strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will result in the item returning to its initial state which means that the player has to spend additional resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item is not able to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained, such as the chance to crit damage to attack, additional effects (such as increased heal over time or reloading speed). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance, the increase will be applied before any damage to attack increases. Slots is a new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade item. For example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. However, players will need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each upgrade of equipment will require different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the costs listed above.
