What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader adds an additional widget to the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. This Manager costs 33 billion Angel Investors and offers no benefits to gameplay other than making it easier to find and buy upgrades.

Boosts

There are many enhancements that can be obtained with an upgrader. They can include a range of stats, as well as a number of extra bonuses. These secondary boosts can be very valuable and should be taken into consideration when deciding which items to upgrade. Some boosts are beneficial in certain builds (such Whistan's shield, for FB sorcs) while others can bring a great deal of value to certain collectors.

Some items come with built-in boos which is less beneficial when upgraded. For instance the Goldwrap provides extra slots for potion. These are often upgraded to add value to a close-to-perfect or perfect item.

Costs

There are a few expenses that are associated with upgrades to items. The first is the cost for the upgrade. This price is contingent on the new level of the item and the number of perks it will gain and is often expensive. Upgrades to higher levels (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) can be expensive.

The other is the cost of materials needed for an upgrade. The items used for upgrades are usually either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and over) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). These materials are available in the inventory of an Upgrade Vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. It could take as long as 8 hours, depending on the magnitude of the upgrade. It is also possible to add a number of additional items to the upgrade, increasing the chance of success. The materials are displayed in a window above the + button. However, there are some limitations to this, and the largest amount of material that can be added is shown just above the + button in the UI.

A Blacksmith Blessing, or an upgraded version thereof can be used to increase the odds of an upgrade succeeding. This item can be helpful when your piece of equipment or weapon is nearing or has reached the highest level of its level. It will allow you to upgrade that piece of equipment to the next level without worrying about it breaking.
