The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Some of them have excellent mapping and obstacle avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other models, making it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.

It's extremely efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor makes short work of picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the dual side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, though not by much. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high rate and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. Those same front arms can be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot cleaner vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't make the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and performs well however this is something you'll need to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums best vacuums which mops in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it a great choice for homeowners who want an extremely efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and intelligently. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively quick.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching a wide range of surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach areas. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor near to the walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and dry to remove odors and prevent buildup.

Another feature worth mentioning is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo lets you adjust the strength of suction, and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more random patterns. You can also select the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can even choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.

The device is costly, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to note that the device is subject to periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad should be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and includes a broad range of physical automation features. This includes an energy button that can also function as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home button that will take it back to its base station after finishing the cleaning process. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank to mop and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or just want an organized home that doesn't require much time doing chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a good option. It is a powerful machine with smart navigation, and a long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home tidy with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum cleaner vacuum and mop, which means it can handle both vacuuming and mopping. The best robot cleaner comes with two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.

Our testers found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers that help to shield certain areas of your home from being swept with mop.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair of pets. It was able to collect a large amount of hair that our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was relatively silent and also had a few nice jingles that signalled when it was about to start or finishing its work.

The biggest flaws were its lack of sophistication and the need to switch out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't hold multiple maps, which could be a pain when you live in a house with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want a smart robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that can be found in our review, but it comes with some distinct features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock that doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a cleaning sink, and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning task, recall the robot, or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognizing objects.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it gets entangled in an obstacle like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't function until you untangle it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence, it was a frustrating experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert in its app.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing appearance in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
