It's therefore prone to getting stuck on socks and shoes and could not navigate densely packed rooms very efficiently during our tests. Also, it doesn't have a camera that would let it see the corners of the room.

It's still a great deal for those whose home or office has a lot of unfinished floors and you're looking to save money. Additionally, it's quiet and can be used while you're at work or going to school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming that is offered in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 does have self-emptying docks, however. If you're required to mop, the mopping pad can be swapped for one that is wet in just a few seconds.

It can also clean the floor even after it vacuums. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combinations.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

With an elegant circular design that looks like a regular Roomba than the competitors' boxes This robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most attractive looking models in our reviews. The latest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot vacuums uk that is able to wash mop pads).

It's also the sole robot vacuum/mop to score a perfect 10 out of 10 in our testing. This is due to a combination modern sensors, including a restructured light system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation autonomously. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mops.

The X40, like other iRobot products, is easy to use. It has a simple mobile application interface, and it integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit.
