It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through an efficient.

It's quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen, and hallways with just one pass. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to clean dirt hair, pet hair, and even droppings easily. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by much. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which is useful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is simple to install and performs well. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want a smart robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it also has distinctive features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its enormous dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and the 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base also comes with a set of control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot vacuums that mop or start the dock's auto-emptying process. The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You will need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't an issue except for the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
