Additionally, it's quiet and can be used while you're at work or at school. The only thing it doesn't have that you don't get in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. And it's less effective at mopping, as it relies on disposable wet wipes that don't stay on for long and don't handle dried-on debris. The Q5 comes with a self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. If you're in need of it mop, the mopping pad can be replaced with one that is wet in just a few just a few seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive vacuuming and mopping capabilities into a compact, sleek package. This mop and vacuum combination is sleek and has a circular design that looks more like the regular Roomba model than the boxy units of the competition. It's among our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is its most advanced and has advanced features like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).

It's also the sole robot vacuum/mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our testing. This is due to the combination of high-tech sensors including a structured lighting system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mops.

As with other iRobot models like the X40 is easy to use, offering an easy mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only downside is that the X40 still a noisy unit. This can be a problem in the mornings before work, or during the night when you are trying to fall asleep.

It's also a bit expensive but not as expensive as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally capable and better looking. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that's extremely powerful, but it's going to cost you more and produce more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot automatic vacuum cleaner and mop, with many advanced features that let you get rid of your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaner like Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra.
