World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items can be used to boost the stats of a particular item. Depending on the upgrade type it can increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity and boost additional stats.

Each item comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a specific amount.

item upgrader kit Level

When an item is upgraded, its base stats improve in value. The value is the sum of all of its upgraded benefits (attack, magic attack and defense). Upgrading items can be expensive, dependent on the upgrader and what type of upgrade you choose to make. This is because of how many perks must be replaced to allow the item to be upgraded.

It is also used as a gating requirement when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It can also be used to limit the amount of PvP gear players are able to wear as PvP is restricted at a lower level. Players can view their average level of item on their character sheet.

Using the item level can help players evaluate the power of equipment when they decide to buy or sell. It's an indicator of the item's damage and its quality. Comparing items in a vendor's stock is possible using the item's level.

The level of the item can be seen by pressing the ALT key on a PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will display the full description of the item, as well as its level. It is also accessible by hovering over an item using the mouse cursor and entering /itemlevel into chat.

There are various theories about how the item level calculation is made. One theory suggests that the level of an item is calculated using an equation that determines the worth of an item's stats actually are. It takes into consideration the fact that various perks have different value and that sockets have gems that increase the overall value of the item. This can result in an item's ilvl which is calculated and is usually very close to Blizzard's actual item level.

However, this isn't the only factor which determines the ilvl of an item, as the level of the region the item dropped in can change the value of its stats, for example by adding an additional level to its haste or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level situations will have a higher value.

Item Stats

The item's stats can determine the fate of an item for players. The game uses a lot of them in a variety of ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the Best item upgrader." The stat mods on a weapon boost the base stats. These stat mods are then increased by the player's level.

Item upgrades add to that by increasing certain stats on the item. The rarity of an item determines the upgrade cost. For example, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, whereas an item with rare tiers will be upgraded several times, at higher costs.

Affixes are a different method to alter the stats of an item. They are stat boosts that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes are used to provide items with extra damage or special abilities (such as reviving dead or reducing cooling downs), or to make them unique by naming them.

All affixes are currently re-rolled by selecting them in the upgrade menu and pressing the green button. It will cost a set amount in gold and items. These can be used as upgrade gauges similar to other rerolling methods.

In addition to rerolling affixes, players can select which stats to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However, all items will include at least one stat within the range, unless they are an exclusive item, or a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

Another thing that could be changed is the possibility to upgrade equipment without having to reroll affixes, or choose which stats to increase. However, as with the base equipment, this would have to be performed on a per-item level, and the interface for comparing items would not display all the possible stats either lost or gained at the same time.

Item Luck

A player's Luck stat stacks up to increase the chances of finding items as well as the properties that appear on loot drops, and the intensity of those properties. It does not, however, directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players an opportunity to get better gear earlier in the game. This is particularly beneficial in the early game, because players tend to put weapon scaling and defenses above raw damage gains.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the chance of success when upgrading items with the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith’s overall chance of upgrading, which increase with each level of the item upgrader. It is also possible to be increased by using anti-materials, such as the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons have an initial Luck value of 40. These items can be augmented with golden ingots, or spined leather (depending on the type of material) to increase the value of 40 luck or to boost the luck of the item to 140.

Certain items, such as the weapon that is infused with hollow can also be crafted to increase the damage of any skill that deals damage by 5%. These items can be found in the shop or created by using the appropriate ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades are successful. However, there are cash shop items which allow players to increase their success rate or prevent themselves from losing an item if the upgrade fails.

The rate of success of an upgrade is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the chance of successfully upgrading that item, and it can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The percentage of success can only be increased as much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail cannot exceed 100%.

The performance of an upgrades is also influenced by the Luck of that item. Every item has an average success rate of 25% and every item that has Luck increases the chance of success by 5percent.

The item upgrade overlays are displayed above items in the inventory. This may obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
