It's smaller than the other options on this list making it easier to navigate into tight corners and underneath furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of the best robot vacuum and mop navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last for up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through cleaning.

It's quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in one go. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to clean dirt as well as pet hair and poop easily. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by much. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is useful when getting into difficult corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to sweep larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and is effective however it's something you'll have to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it comes with some unique features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its huge dock which doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink, and the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base comes with a few control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to switch on a child lock, which is a nice touch for parents worried about children playing with the vacuum mop cleaner robot.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to detect obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognizing objects.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck when it is entangled in a blockage, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. This was a rare incident however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert on its application.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold.

On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
