The cot is cushioned and features mesh sides for better ventilation, and its mattress is made from high-density foam to provide extra protection. It's also able to be cleaned so you can keep it clean. It also comes with a fitted sheet that is suitable for use with the cot.

In contrast to other cribs for bedside use, the Roomie Glide is suitable for all beds, including divans, thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib if it isn't connected to the bed. It is packed with incredible features that were that were designed with baby and parent bonding in mind.

One thing to keep in mind is that while this crib is ideal for infants, it will not last long after your baby turns six months old, so you'll need to invest in an additional cot. Overall, Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide crib was an excellent purchase. She liked its sleek design.

It has a drop-side rail that can be easily lifted to feed your child in the evening without disturbing them or getting out of bed. This is ideal for mothers who breastfeed! It is also lightweight and easy to move around during naps or for travel.

It's made of soft materials and features breathable mesh sides to promote airflow. It's available in oak and charcoal, with a range of melange fabrics that are compatible with all decor styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure when affixed to her bed with the legs securely snapping into place and the zips secure to ensure safety for babies. It took Anna around 10 minutes to put it together and did not require any tools. There are clear instructions, a video and a customer support number if you encounter any issues.

In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a twin bedside cot crib, like being able to connect to your existing bed with a stay-in-place connection system and six levels of height The CoZee also comes with an additional incline option which can be used to help alleviate reflux or congestion in infants. It's also machine-washable, a necessity with all the dribble, vomit and snot that come with having a baby!

If you want to keep your baby close to you during the first six months as they're beginning to learn to sleep independently The CoZee is a fantastic option as it can also be used as a separate cot, changing table and toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa bed extension pack, it can transform into a cot. And while it will not feed your baby or magically sleep them, it will rock them until they go off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco's more expensive models, but it is packed with lots of features. It can be used either a side-sleeper or as a standalone crib, and is suitable for infants ranging from birth to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel with a new mechanism. It is also more adjustable than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings and retractable legs for a secure fit underneath any bed.

Our testers loved the ease of access offered by the side panel, which can be moved upwards and downwards with just a single push of a button. This was a huge help during night time feeds, as it meant they could reach into and pick up their baby without disturbing them.

The side panel can be lifted by itself, too however, it's not recommended since it increases the chance of your baby falling out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism guarantees that it will only stay down when attached to the bed properly. This feature can be very beneficial for peace of mind if you breastfeed and require frequent nighttime feeds.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers thanks to the telescopic legs. It also comes with tilting functions for babies with reflux and a rocking mode that can soothe them back to sleep after feeding. It's also very spacious and has excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our test subjects despite the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, but it's quite portable and can be moved from room room with ease. It's also small enough to fit into its travel bag when not in use which is a plus if you need to transport it. The only thing our testers have found is that the side panel did not move as much as other models. This made it a bit harder to see the baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

If you're in search of a crib for your bed that will develop with your child, then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth considering. Designed to be a co-sleeping bassinet that will attach securely to your bed but also convert into a stylish cot when your baby is ready, it's ideal for feeding your baby at night and for strengthening your bond with your newborn.

Contrary to other cribs for bed like the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The mesh side panels with dual-view and airflow mattress that is hypoallergenic and breathable maximize airflow and keep your baby comfortable and cool. The gentle slope helps alleviate colic and reflux. The zipper-down side lets you to feed your baby, or even comfort them at night.

The kit for conversion to cot is also well-designed, with clear instructions. It includes everything you require. It took us about an hour to construct and was relatively easy to put together. The only issue with the instructions was that certain pictures did not have captions. This made it difficult to follow. However, it was an easy procedure and the quality of materials employed was of a high standard.

The Shnuggle Air is a great choice for women who are breastfeeding or have had a c-section. It allows them to reach out and touch their baby to comfort them and feeding without leaving their bed. It's a great option for parents who don't want the burden of putting their infant in a traditional cot for bedside, or getting out of it.

During our testing we noticed the smooth motion of the next-to-me crib to be extremely helpful when it comes to lulling babies back to sleep after feedings at midday and in the evening. The drop-down side is also accessible to feed or calm babies in the middle of the night, which was a real selling point for our exhausted test mums. While it doesn't rock or have additional features like a sound machine, the Joie Roomie Glide's elegant design and practicality are a welcome addition to our top amazon bedside cot crib reviews.
