Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills or staining) in one go without having to swap out devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bin and fill up their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads from the dock that is specifically designed for them.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has plenty to offer for its affordable price, and it's one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual gets you up and running in no time. It comes with a full dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The automatic vacuum cleaner comes with four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly app that lets you pick the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For instance, you can opt for the robot to clean up the kitchen and living rooms but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. Its only drawback is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed - but a quick glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's avoided.

A large LCD screen on the docking station tells the maintenance tasks that must be completed including emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's flagship Best robot vacuum cleaner UK mop and vacuum. Unlike last year's model, this one features a double agitator in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power which allows it to pick up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners could miss.

Like the two other Roborock models I've tested it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to helps it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean them without missing a beat.

It's the most expensive model I've tried, but it also has the most features. Its sleek angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child-lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin auto-refills.

The only downside I've found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to take off the mount itself to wash manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of clever features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track battery life. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how efficient it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its smart design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while reducing time.

The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the top alternatives available. Contrary to other robots which only focus on one task, the X40 can perform both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or individually. It can also be programmed to skip areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are a breeze to install. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, switch modes, view floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many features that make it a great option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you when it gets overflowing, reducing the need for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot vacuum best is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It does have a number of characteristics that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and has a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and dirt-stained spots.

The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from building up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen in other robot cleaner automatic vacuum cleaner and mop and mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.

There are plenty of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and change preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options for customising the cleaning routine. The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen in the market, sporting metallic and white design that looks elegant and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this listing but it's not excessively heavy. It feels solid and well-constructed. Mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mops work well on hard floors and in corners. They can also extend up to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
