WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item level upgrade by 3. A random additional substat is also added to each upgrade.

Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for the latter because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader mod upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

The upgrader is located in every major city, and can be visited at any time to upgrade your gear. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

Upgrades can cost more based on the item level, but they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items which can be used to upgrade weapons and tools, armor and other items. They can be purchased by players from item upgraders NPCs in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool with an The button will display a preview of an item's next upgrade level in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the item upgrading slot and current item level, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain level it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currencies.

Many locations offer item upgraders, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the start unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. Instead, the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades require various methods which is both an improvement and a drawback.

In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. Once a player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This applies even if the items are from another set of equipment.

The discount applies to all accounts. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievement.

Crests

Players have several options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are utilized during specific item upgrades level upgrades. Crests are a crucial part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is of a particular rank. Each rank comes with a different upgrade path. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade requires up to 20 crests, contingent on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can obtain crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and performing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of any difficulty for higher-tier items or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses for endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

Using these new currencies isn't too complicated however, the system does introduce some changes to the overall upgrade process. For example, once an item is at the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is designed to allow players to get their equipment up to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests with care, since they only have one use. For instance it's a good idea use all of your Whelpling-rank crests with the Best item upgrader equipment available and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning on making. This is particularly true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount on the account will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
