It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.

It is very quick and does a great job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and the hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop rotates quickly and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into narrow corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and fallen books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever used. It doesn't produce the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and works well however this is something you'll have to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a variety of features.

The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock which serves as the robot cleaner's charging base and the housing for two water tanks, a sink for cleaning, and the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base also has a number of control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock, which is a nice touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets entangled in a hazard like a power cable draped over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. This was a rare incident however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its app.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space which is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
