1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the ultimate light-weight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, thanks to its super nimble manoeuvrability and foldable design that can be tucked away in the overhead luggage of aeroplanes. The most recent version features independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel Elastomer, which allows it to effortlessly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The bent fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 and the 6months of colour pack come together to create a stylish pushchair that has a soft elegant design. The base frame weighs less than a kilogram and is so light that it is able to be lifted from the box with one hand.

The hood, for example snaps onto the YOYO2 with a reassuring way. It is machine washable at 30 degrees which helps prevent staining caused by smushed and mashed rice cakes and carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram starting from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to a stroller from 6 months old by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great choice for parents who are looking for an adaptable stroller. It can be converted from a stroller to wagon just by flipping the handle, which means parents can choose the mode they prefer for their journey. The wagon can accommodate one or two kids from 6 months old to 5 years old, and it comes with a large storage basket for all of your on-the-go needs.

The Xplore has dual canopies which can rotate from front to back, offering adequate sun protection for the entire family. It has a smaller footwell than some wagons. This may not be suitable for long journeys or napping.

The frame of the Xplore feels sturdy and solid however it doesn't have as much flexibility as other wagons we have tested. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the competition, and it does not secure when folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and it can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel best lightweight single stroller is a great choice for parents who are seeking a second stroller that is affordable. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and folded size that means it's light, compact when folded and easy to lift into a car trunk or closet. It also has a multi-position reclining seat and an adult cup holder. Other important features include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels as well as two large hanging storage bags.

In our test of push and turn, it did better than many of the other cheap strollers we test, but it's not the most maneuverable over uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades are among the most compact we tested, with only a direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a significantly larger canopy.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to put together using an average manual and all of the components required tools. However, it is missing certain essential features that we believe it is important to consider as non-negotiable features in a double stroller, for example, a larger basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi’s newest pushchair that is advertised as an urban travel system. It is designed to take infants from birth until approximately 3.5 years, converting easily between a seat and a carrycot by just only a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats and comes complete with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, stay-in-car base and a reversible carriage.

The seat reclines with one hand and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to get their child in and out. Despite being a small pushchair, it was able to handle the everyday bumps with ease and went through doorways without fuss.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward position, or they can rotate. This is useful for navigating through rough terrain. While walking on the stony path, we let them move and it did this quite well although it did seem slightly bumpier than other models that we tested.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most famous for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain, top single strollers that jog. However, they also make a broad selection of single pushchairs with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It is easy to use and folds up small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It is a bit heavier than other strollers that we test, but the wheels are rubber composite so it feels well-made and sturdy. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all kinds of terrain, and it's easy to move, even when loaded with two children and shopping bags.

The carrycot and the seat both have hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are sturdy and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams that can be blown back into toddlers' faces.

It's not the biggest of storage space, but it does have a big basket that's big enough to hold an infant's changing bag and plenty of groceries. It can also be used with a Baby Jogger car seat that is suitable for babies that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you need a stroller that can be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first appeared on the scene, it stole the hearts of parents across the world. It is an aluminium-framed stroller which can be used from the baby's first days to beyond. It's got a few notable features, including the ability to flip the seat between parent and world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy that has an eye-shade that flips out as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The chassis has a suspension system built-in that reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are constructed from tough foam and minimise punctures. Our tester found it smooth to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets with ease.

It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It can also be rolled and repositioned for easy transport down the stairs, or in the trunk of the car. It also comes with a travel system equipped with the option to add a car seat and a carrycot using the included adaptors. The brakes are only one action and are colour coded. They also work with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single pushchair is extremely easy to use and features great dual suspension, one-hand fold, and a handy carry strap. It's also light and robust. The seat can be reclined to many different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress that's suitable for babies.

The canopy/seat has two large sun visors that are either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't the best lightweight single stroller since it's not as silent as Velcro, and can wake up napping babies.

The Duet is a side-byside stroller and can be adapted to take twins or siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It can be used with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be positioned to face one another or be turned around to face the parents, theoretically decreasing sibling fights over who gets to sit with dad and mom. It comes with a massive gear tray, bottle holder, snack trays and an adjustable mat. It also comes with an automatic frame lock and a superior compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger that's ideal for parents who love to be active. It's one of the lightest strollers you can buy for your child. It also comes with great safety features like a 5-point harness and safety wrist strap. It has a different type of hand brake unlike other models, which is an interesting twist.

The seat is padded and provides a wide area to sit. However, the seat depth is less than that of other runners (it's only about 10") The storage bin is secured with a zipper that keeps things safe. It can hold up to 10 lbs that is enough for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters for most bassinets and infant car seats, but you can use them starting from the first day with adapters that will fit brands such as BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It is easy to fold and put together in 5-10 minutes without any tools. The manual is simple to read and contains a variety of languages.
