World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

Components

Upgrade components can only be used on equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before the component can be used. The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs, you will have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Leveling

The item also loses any bonuses it has gained, such as the chance to crit damage to attack, other effects (such as increased heal over time, or reloading speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest.
