World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a key element of enhancing your character. Upgrades increase the base damage and enchantments of items.

They also provide bonus effects and improvements. The Blacksmith is able to sell them to you.

The upgrade button is located on any item. Each recycled item adds a level to the upgrade gauge.

Weapon

When a weapon gets upgraded, it gets an initial damage bonus as well as a scaling factor which affects other stats. The weapon can also gain a variety of upgrade components, which provide additional effects or attributes and some even have distinctive cosmetic effects. These upgrades can be inserted into weapons, armor, trinkets, or gathering tools, and most require that the equipment have an upgrade item slot that is available and meet certain specifications. The upgrade item component can be removed from an armored weapon, weapon or trinket, however it cannot be replaced. (Except for legendary equipment). Upgrade components can be recovered using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool, or by using a salvage tool of high-end quality on the item the item.

A weapon can also be upgraded to include a Calibration attribute that boosts certain stats, like Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This is accomplished through the Gear Workbench's interaction menu. This can be done four times, based on weapon's level.

When the weapon is at the maximum level of upgrade, it may be rebuilt using a variety of different upgrade types to improve certain stats or add bonuses and effects. These upgrades can be applied simultaneously, and their effects will depend on how rare the weapon is.

Two Blacksmiths can perform these upgrades in the game: Blacksmith Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace and Smithing Master Hewg at the Church of Elleh hub. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons and Somber Smithing Stones to alter the type of damage a weapon can cause.

In general, it's advisable to increase the damage of your weapon first. Then you can improve your armour defense and, finally, the secondary stats that are required by your build. Particularly, it is common to see melee druids enhancing their weapon prior to any other gear, as this helps maximise DPS. This is particularly relevant for enchantments that boost a weapon's stats and damage.

Armor

Item upgrades allow players to boost the effectiveness of certain weapons, armors, trinkets, and gathering tools. These upgrades can also have additional effects like increased damage or cosmetic enhancements. Item upgrades can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, or in loot drops or as rewards for quests.

The armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC, and spending the appropriate currency. Most armor upgrades to the next level following an upgrade items. This can be done for most types of armor, though certain items are not upgradeable in any way (such as the armor that is used as a starter in Great Sky Island).

The majority of armor upgrades boost the item upgrader's defense or strength by just a little. However, some upgrade components can provide significant enhancements to defense or strength, particularly when upgrading an epic item.

Certain upgrades offer special abilities that can be activated while wearing armor. These abilities can be very beneficial in combat. For instance, they can boost attack speed or block. Certain upgrades also have passive effects, like decreasing the amount of damage that is taken when wearing armor, or giving you a the ability to deflect attacks.

Upgrades to armor may require multiple attempts, based on the type of armor. If a player is looking to upgrade Steelclash armor into Dragonscale and the first attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor that has a defense base between 59-67. The second attempt would result in a Dragonscale armor with an initial defense range of 67-77.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players to upgrade items their armor sets up to level 4. To do this players must visit the four Great Fairy Fountains found in the game. Each of these locations holds the power of a fairy who can upgrade a piece of armor for the player.

Contrary to popular opinion, armor in The Division 2 is not useless. The truth is that some armors come with very substantial boosts to poison, curse, fire or magical damage reduction, making them invaluable for specific builds. There are other ways to increase the stats of armor beyond the use of upgradeable armor such as the engineer trait to increase armor penetration, or the challenger trait to lower total weight.

Potion

A potion can be upgraded by placing it in a brewing stand to unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a brand new level of potion effect and can be repeated for higher levels of potency.

The potion also gets a custom color code, that the player can pick using /give and which can affect the area-of-effect clouds as well as arrows created by the potions. In Bedrock Edition, the custom color of the potion also affects the potions' particle effects.

The water bottle, mundane and thick potions as well as awkward potions now have a distinct texture when they are brewed. Added potion of weakness and potion of healing in Creative inventory. Trinket

Upgrades to this trinket cost a small amount of energy.

The magic of the enchanted Scepter appears to influence the dungeon and increase the likelihood of generating grass and water. At its current level, this trinket can make X% of regular floors become filled with grass or water, but doesn't affect enchantments or the glyphs, cursed weapons, armor, or items generated to solve hazard rooms.

Although it appears to be an ordinary eye of a newt, this mysterious object appears to be affecting your vision in ways that go beyond merely reducing your field of view. This trinket, at its current level, increases the health benefits of drinking healing potions and wells of life by X% and grants mind sight on enemies within the Y tile. This does not stack with the Heightened Senses.

After you have completed the Mastery Cave after completing the Mastery Cave, you can find Trinkets by beating Monsters and inside chests and crates in Skull Cavern. They cannot be found in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.

If you have a trinket that needs to be upgraded, place it in the Anvil to upgrade it. This will create an unpredictable effect on the trinket, either prolonging its life or enhancing its effects. You can reforge an Best Item Upgrade for as many times as you like, but it will always have an effect that is different from the one you had when you first made it.

You can upgrade your Trinkets in the Alchemy Station by placing them into the Magical Catalyst. This will cost you 6 energy and increase the power of the trinket by a small amount.
