1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most advanced robot to date is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest advancement is an obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you a picture of an object it encounters so you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop that we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills effortlessly leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean in areas you don't would like. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop with your voice.

The design is also superior to the other models. It has a sleek, high-end piece that looks like an toy, not an obnoxious and loud robot. The Clean Base Automatic cleaning Robot Dirt Disposal System self-empties and is ideal to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ quickly took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It was able to collect sand, small gravel and even a little grit. Most robots could not accomplish this feat. It did all this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.

The j7+, while not as intelligent as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217and Self-Emptying remote vacuum Robot from iRobot and can't clean the stairs, it's an option for those who need both a vacuum and a mop. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic vacuum cleaner reviews cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates, and it can be difficult to determine if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your most effective option is likely to be a hybrid. These robots come with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also come with many additional features such as smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but they often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock has some of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and although it doesn't have some of the premium features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is an area that most robot vacuums of lower quality fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is superb too, with very little missing in corners and along walls.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products, can be controlled by just a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barrier and no-go areas and adjust your home map, or re-label the rooms.

If you select the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively easy. It also has a large LCD display, which is nice to have when setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for most people but it can help to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively clever in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the top in the market, but it's expensive.

The base station is attractive and is hidden when it's not in use, Automatic Cleaning Robot and its size is quite compact. The station's main selling point is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions and chores that other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your cheap robot vacuum cleaner clean and charged.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive as well. It's the few robot vacuums I've tested that do a really good job of cleaning up debris from bare floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It also can't climb stairs as well as other models and doesn't come with a dock that can create a clean zone for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning-related options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the higher price price.

However, if you're looking to save money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robot There are many alternatives on the market, including a lot of eufy models priced considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive, but offers more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, with the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets with low pile, and even high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of making robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, switch it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app walks you through several steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be located close to an outlet that has enough space to move.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it can fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious compared to some rival models. It features a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The main aspect that makes the G30 apart from its competitors is the way it cleans. It uses an integrated map to make a picture of the immovable items in its path. It remembers the items it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. When it's time to recharge, it will automatically return to its base and resumes cleaning from where it began.

The eufy G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges more quickly and has the same battery life. It also offers better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It has a bigger dust bin, which doesn't require the same amount of emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and has less difficulty with bulky items like cereal.
