WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boosts in specific statistics. Each upgrade increases item level Upgrade level by 3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for those with lower requirements because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be visited at any time to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear current it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item upgrading however, they are always cheaper than purchasing new gear. For example, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items which can be used to upgrade weapons, tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be bought by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor with the help of button, which will display a preview of the item when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the slot for the item and the current level of the item upgrade. For example, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currency types.
