Both robots are adept at picking up surface debris off carpets and hard floors and they're very adept at maneuvering around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates a smart maps of your home to assist the i3+ to navigate and clean up efficiently. However unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we tested the i3+ does not have obstacle-avoidance capabilities which means it can get stuck on things like power cords or socks, and it can have difficulty traversing transitions across surfaces like hardwood to rug.

iRobot recommends that you tidy up the area where the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other items it may encounter. It is also recommended to keep the dustbin and filter clean to prevent them from getting blocked. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or the battery is low it will return to its docking station and automatically empties its dirt into the station's dust bin and continues cleaning where it began. The battery's life span is approximately an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes 3 hours to fully charge.

2. iRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model in the iRobot flagship line and is equipped with the most recent features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. However, the most important feature is its self-emptying bin. This will eliminate the need for regular maintenance.

The Roomba I7+ is able to map rooms more efficiently with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning jobs and control your robot with voice or top rated robot Vacuum through the app.

The i7+ is quicker and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from all surfaces, including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, is its self-emptying dustbin that eliminates a major source of maintenance and reduces recurring costs.

We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning session and to move around the room and vacuum a specific space. Connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and easy with the iRobot Home app. Once connected, to give voice commands to the i7+, such as "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." In our tests during our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and it cleaned up 86% of dog hair (on carpet). It didn't do very well in avoiding taller items like socks or cords. This was disappointing. It's also a bit more expensive than the other models we tried and could be a deterrent for some buyers.

The app also makes it simple to manually steer the robot in the event of need. My living room rug, for instance, has a darkly-colored border that can trip up some other robots.
